Cheju Halla University Signs AI Education Cooperation Agreement with PDP University

A delegation from Cheju Halla University (led by Professor Young Joon Lee) visited PDP University in Tashkent and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for AI education cooperation. Through this agreement, both institutions agreed to jointly operate an AI Education Center that combines theory and practice.

Key Cooperation Contents

  1. Practice-Oriented Education Development: Azure certification courses and project-based learning
  2. Flexible Learning Environment: Evening lectures for working professionals
  3. Industry-Aligned Curriculum: Strengthening prompt engineering and MLOps (Machine Learning Operations)
  4. Student Support System: Tutoring and incentives for top performers

Through this cooperation, the first AI education course is scheduled to launch in September, with plans to select an initial cohort of 20 students for a blended online lecture and hands-on training format. Additionally, top-performing students will be offered the opportunity to train in Korea and gain direct experience with the latest AI technologies.

Professor Young Joon Lee, head of the Cheju Halla University delegation, stated, “This agreement is expected to elevate the standard of AI education in Central Asia to the next level,” adding, “We will contribute to nurturing AI talent in Uzbekistan through close collaboration with PDP University.”
