Cheju Halla University Discusses AI Innovation Cooperation with UIC Software Company in Tashkent
A delegation from Cheju Halla University (led by Professor Young Joon Lee) discussed cooperation plans for AI education and talent development with UIC Software, a company based in Tashkent. UIC is an international software development company with over 100 clients and more than 200 completed projects, and showed strong interest in collaborating with the AI Education Center.

- Talent Development: Establishing employment pathways for AI Center graduates into UIC’s development teams
- Curriculum Alignment: Strengthening practical training in machine learning engineering and data science
- Professional Training: Providing AI education programs for UIC employees
- Technical Focus Areas: Hands-on training centered on MLOps, NLP deployment, and AI implementation
UIC has experience across diverse industries including fintech and healthcare, and is driving regional technological innovation through the development of Uzbekistan’s first AAA game and the construction of the Uzbek-language AI system ‘Matanus AI.’
At this meeting, both institutions signed a cooperation agreement, pledging close collaboration for AI technology innovation and talent development. Cheju Halla University expressed its anticipation, stating, “Through this agreement, we will make a practical contribution to the development of AI education and the software industry in Uzbekistan.”
This cooperation will serve as an important foundation for advancing Uzbekistan’s AI industry and cultivating regional technology talent. Cheju Halla University and UIC plan to advance joint programs for AI education and practical competency development through continued cooperation.
