Cheju Halla University Visits KOICA Uzbekistan Office to Discuss AI Education Cooperation

A delegation from Cheju Halla University (led by Professor Young Joon Lee) visited the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) office in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to discuss advancing AI education and strengthening bilateral educational cooperation.

The meeting focused intensively on ways to strengthen cooperation between Korea and Uzbekistan centered on AI and technology education. Key topics discussed included ▲developing AI education curricula, ▲promoting industry-academia collaboration, and ▲establishing sustainable education programs that meet international standards.

The Cheju Halla University delegation noted, “We aim to achieve meaningful educational innovation by combining Korea’s AI technology and educational expertise with Uzbekistan’s growing digital ecosystem. We hope this consultation will help us build globally competitive educational cooperation.”

The KOICA Uzbekistan office stated that they “look forward to continued collaboration with Cheju Halla University for the advancement of AI and technology education in Uzbekistan,” and that they will “explore various support measures to strengthen the educational network between the two countries.”

This visit marks the beginning of full-scale cooperation between Cheju Halla University and KOICA to develop AI education programs in Uzbekistan and cultivate practical talent.
